Interior & material study

An ordinary corner, an unexpected atmosphere.

Building a mood
through a space.
Spaces brings together a sculptural lounge chair, playful ceramics, framed artwork, and a small arrangement of everyday objects. The scene turns a familiar living-room corner into a study of color, surface, and atmosphere.
Olive upholstery anchors the composition against saturated orange furniture and a patterned side table. Light breaks across the walls in bands, connecting the objects through a shared rhythm of highlights and deep shadow.

Surfaces with
character.
The close-ups bring the material contrasts forward: a rough, chipped-looking ceramic surface; soft green fabric; glossy red glaze; textured walls; and reflective glass. Each surface responds differently to the same warm light.
Shallow depth of field isolates individual objects, while the wider views show how their colors and shapes hold together as one environment. The small props give the room a sense of use and a story beyond the furniture.

One scene.
Several readings.
The series revisits the same corner with changes to the lampshade, wall art, props, and light balance. These variations show how a few choices can shift the atmosphere of an entire space.

Scene variations
Composition / Light / Materials
A darker variation lets the pools of amber light and the striped shadows carry the composition.

Plants, alternate wall art, and a translucent lampshade shift the room toward a softer, more open atmosphere.

A wider view brings the framed artwork, furniture, and patterned shadows into a single composition.
