Materiales en Movimiento

One form. Multiple identities.

Making material
the subject.
A visualization series for Materiales en Movimiento, exploring how a single chair takes on different characters through finish, upholstery, lighting, and setting. The broad platform, rounded cushions, and layered frame remain the visual anchor as the palette changes around them.
MEM presents its furniture through a choice of woods, colors, and textiles. That emphasis on customization provides a context for these visual explorations: pale wood with navy fabric, a darker frame with speckled green cushions, and warm golden surfaces paired with olive upholstery.

Light gives
the form a rhythm.
Window-blind stripes and softer foliage-shaped shadows break across the upholstery and frame. Neutral surroundings keep the silhouette clear, while angled views reveal the projecting base, curved edges, and relationship between the hard structure and soft cushions.
The material variations are presented as render studies. Color, surface texture, camera height, and the placement of a small blue mug become ways to explore the same object without losing its identity.

Giving the object
a sense of movement.
The suspended compositions tilt the chair away from a conventional product view. A detached shadow gives the frame a sense of weight even as it appears to float, opening up new views of its layered construction.
The later images bring the chair into a richer setting of green tiles and overlapping wood-toned planes. Olive upholstery, a golden frame, and warm reflections connect the object to its surroundings; the close-up returns attention to softness, edges, and surface detail.
